The colorful beginning still matters. It is the foundation of a more focused Dark Bloom: a small Texas farmstead specializing in the deeper end of the egg basket.

Behind Dark Bloom

Behind Dark Bloom.

Nellie is the person behind Dark Bloom Farmstead and its distinctive collection of dark, vibrant, and naturally varied eggs.

After operating in Eugene, Oregon, Dark Bloom recently relocated to the DFW area. This first Texas chapter is focused on helping the flock settle in and returning birds to established breeding pens.

More of Nellie’s story—and the future of Dark Bloom in Texas—will be added here in her own words.
